Reminder: There is early dismissal tomorrow at 1:30!  Please be on time.  Your child will be sent into aftercare if you are not here to pick up at 1:30 as we have to start our prayer meeting a.s.a.p.

On Friday, April 25th is Earth Day at the Shrine.  Because the bus prices are so expensive we are asking for your help in transporting your childern to and from the shrine that day.  You are welcome to join us for the whole day or if you can only drive that is also much appreciated.  We will need proof of insurance if you would like to volunteer to drive.  Thanks

Energy Club field trip forms are being sent home this evening.  Please complete and return to school a.s.a.p. They are going to the zoo to visit their adopted animal and learn more about it on the morning of Thursday, April 10th.

ATTENTION: Plans are being quickly finalized for a field trip along with grades 6 & 7 due to the increased transportation costs.  I need to know by tomorrow (3/19) if you would like to attend the field trip which will be on THURSDAY, APRIL 17.  Mrs. McGinnis needs a head count so we know how many tickets we need to purchase for the Omnimax movie at the Science Center.  Please let me know via a note or an email.  Thank you!!!

Reading - p. 29 in literature guide; literature roles; and start on section 4 terms.  The kids are doing really great with their literature guides.  We will finish up the book next week and take a short test on the book.  I will also collect the guides they've been working in to grade. 

I don't think anyone is likely to forget but tomorrow is Canterbury Carnival and tickets will be sold tomorrow morning in the classroom.

Today we started a literature unit on Number the Stars.  The kids have a literature guide booklet and a paperback book that they must have for class everyday.  Tonight they have their literature role to complete as well as page 11 in the booklet.  They also need to complete any terms that they can on the first section.

Science test - tomorrow

Social Studies test will be on Wednesday. The kids already have the review guide so the test will be on Wed. no matter what.
